Frequently asked

Common questions

I forgot my PIN. Can it be reset?

BodyCount Calendar has no servers, no accounts, and no recovery channel by design — that's the point of the privacy model. If you've lost your PIN and Face ID isn't an option, the only path forward is to delete and reinstall the app, which removes all on-device data.

If you have an iCloud backup, your data restores once you set up a new PIN.

How do I back up my data?

BodyCount Calendar uses your personal iCloud for optional backup — owned by you, encrypted by Apple. Make sure iCloud is signed in on your iPhone and that the app is enabled under Settings → [your name] → iCloud.

Activate the iCloud Sync feature in the app’s Settings.

How do I move my data to a new iPhone?

If you used iCloud backup or Apple's full-device transfer, your data restores when you set up your new iPhone and install BodyCount Calendar. Open the app, enter your PIN, and your entries are there.

Notifications aren't appearing. What should I check?

BodyCount Calendar uses local notifications only — they're scheduled by your iPhone, not pushed from a server. If they're not appearing:

  • Open Settings → Notifications → BodyCount Calendar and confirm notifications are enabled.
  • Check that Focus modes aren't silencing the app.
  • Inside the app, open Settings and confirm reminders are turned on for the medications or test cycles you expect.
How do I delete all my data?

Two options:

  • In-app: Settings → Delete All Data. You'll need to type a confirmation phrase. This wipes the SwiftData store, notifications, the Keychain entry, and Documents — fully and irreversibly.
  • Delete the app: Long-press the app icon and choose Delete. iOS removes all on-device app data along with it. If iCloud backup is enabled, you may also want to remove the backup from Settings → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Because the app has no accounts and no servers, there is no profile to delete elsewhere.

What is the Panic PIN and how do I set it up?

The Panic PIN is a separate code you can set in Settings → Privacy & Security → Panic PIN. If you ever enter it on the lock screen, BodyCount Calendar wipes its on-device data immediately and silently — no confirmation, no recovery.

Use it only if you intend to wipe. We recommend choosing a code that's distinct from your normal PIN and easy to remember under pressure.

Is BodyCount Calendar a medical device or medical advice?

No. BodyCount Calendar is a personal tracking journal. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or recommend any medication or course of action. It is not a medical device. Decisions about PrEP, DoxyPEP, DoxyPrEP, STI testing, and treatment must always be made with a qualified healthcare professional.

How does pricing work?

BodyCount Calendar is a subscription with a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the subscription is $19.99 per year and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at the end of the trial. If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel:

  • Open Settings on your iPhone
  • Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
  • Tap BodyCount Calendar and choose Cancel Subscription

Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or renewal date to avoid the next charge. After cancelling, you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple as well. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and follow the steps. We can't issue refunds directly.

Does my subscription transfer to a new iPhone?

Yes. The subscription is tied to your Apple ID, not to a specific device. Sign in with the same Apple ID on the new iPhone, install BodyCount Calendar, and tap Restore Purchases in Settings.

Bug reports

Found a bug?

Sorry about that. To help us fix it quickly, please include the following when you email us:

  • 1 Device & iOS version — for example, "iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26.1".
  • 2 App version — found in Settings → About inside the app.
  • 3 Steps to reproduce — what you did, what you expected, what actually happened.
  • 4 Screenshots if relevant — please blur or crop anything you don't want to share.
  • 5 Frequency — does it happen every time, or only sometimes?

Email everything to support@mybodycountcalendar.com.

Your data

Privacy & data requests

Because BodyCount Calendar has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics, there is no central database where your data is stored. Everything is on your device.

Access & review

Open the app any time to view, edit, or delete every entry you've made. Because nothing leaves your device, you always have direct access to your full history.

Deletion

Use Settings → Delete All Data, or simply uninstall the app. iOS removes all on-device data with it.

iCloud backup

Backups live in your personal iCloud, owned by you and encrypted by Apple. Manage them under iOS Settings → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

GDPR / CCPA / CPRA

If you're located in the EU, UK, California, or another regulated region, you can email us with any question about your rights. Because we collect no personal data, most requests resolve simply.
